Alexander Puutio is an author, professor, and leadership expert with over a decade of experience driving organizational excellence at the United Nations and Boston Consulting Group. He has taught at leading academic institutions, from Columbia University to NYU Stern and Harvard. His writing on leadership at Forbes and Psychology Today reaches a global audience of 1.5 million and has led him to interview and work with leaders from Warren Buffett to startup founders and heads of state.
He has authored and edited several articles and books on law and economics, with his latest mainstream project, AI for MBAs, published by Taylor & Francis in 2026.
Alexander’s consulting work spans both private and public sectors, focusing on strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and purpose-driven leadership. He has collaborated with a diverse client base, including the C-Suite of Fortune 500 companies, international NGOs, and startups, addressing critical challenges in leadership and performance. Most recently, he founded Vertical AI, an AI-powered platform designed to enhance organizational decision-making and democratize effective solutions for CEOs worldwide.
