Eric Chung

Eric Chung is a Partner at West Monroe, a global business and technology consulting firm, and an Adjunct Instructor at Harvard Extension School, where he has taught Corporate Strategy to management graduate students for over a decade. He also has significant experience delivering executive education on a range of strategy-focused topics, such as strategic investment decision analysis and risk management.
Chung brings approximately 30 years of consulting and industry experience to the classroom, where students appreciate his combination of practical theory and real-world experience. At West Monroe, Chung focuses on bringing strategy, process, people, and technology solutions to energy and utilities clients. Chung’s breadth of experience and accomplishments have established him as a trusted advisor on various industry topics, including strategy, regulation, digital transformation, change enablement, utility business case evaluation, benchmarking, operating model design, and process improvements.
Prior to joining West Monroe, Chung spent approximately ten years as an executive at two major East Coast utilities, Eversource and National Grid. At Eversource — the largest electric, gas, and water utility in New England — he directed a multi-state regulatory department focused on strategic regulatory initiatives. He was the head of a financially and operationally successful generation portfolio divestiture that completed restructuring in New England, also leading regulatory filings and expert witness testimony. In addition, Chung was Head of Transformation Change for the New England Jurisdiction at National Grid. During his tenure, he built and led a team to deliver and sustain results from digital products, advanced distribution management systems, and other process improvements. Before his time in industry, Chung was a senior-level management consultant for EY and other firms focused on strategy and investment decisions primarily for power and utilities clients.
Chung holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Harvard College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
