Špela Trefalt

Špela Trefalt is an internationally recognized executive coach, facilitator, educator, and researcher specializing in leadership development, work-life integration, organizational change, strategic relationship building, and coaching. Her professional journey spans television, human resources, academia, and executive education.
Trefalt holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where she focused on organizational behavior. She served as a professor of management at Simmons University in Boston and has developed and taught coaching programs for diverse audiences. Trained through the Co-Active Training Institute and credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation, she continues to deepen her expertise through advanced certifications, ongoing practice, and supervision.
Her executive coaching practice centers on high-achieving professionals in consulting, law, finance, healthcare, and academia. Her clients include leaders at organizations such as PA Consulting, Kennedys, Clyde & Co, A&O Shearman, Blue Owl, Brookfield, Blackstone, and leading research universities across the U.S. and internationally. She also designs and delivers customized executive education programs for institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Medical University of South Carolina, Merck, Martin’s Healthcare, and PA Consulting.
For over two decades, Trefalt’s research has explored work-life balance and gender dynamics in professional environments, with a focus on how relationships help individuals navigate complexity and achieve ambitious goals. She is a founding member of the Work and Family Research Network, a fellow at the Institute for Inclusive Leadership at Simmons University, and an active contributor to the ThirdPath Institute.
Outside of work, she finds joy in solitude (she proudly identifies as a committed introvert), as well as in spending time with her husband and two daughters, singing, dancing, and savoring all things delicious.
