Aaron Vieira
Aaron Vieira is founder and managing partner of The AVITAS Group, LLC, a human capital consulting firm that specializes in talent strategy and organizational transformation. He takes a business-first approach to help clients ensure that their talent initiatives deliver concrete results. His expertise includes customized leadership programs that close capability gaps, data-driven succession plans that build strong leadership pipelines, and employee engagement solutions that foster high-performance cultures.
Previously, as Corporate Vice President of Talent Management for Brown University Health, he built an enterprise-wide talent management system from the ground up in under four years. As a result of this work, a key employee-manager metric dramatically improved, and employee engagement percentile rankings jumped over 20 points in a national healthcare database. These changes directly contributed to a significant reduction in the annual nurse turnover rate, which yielded millions of dollars in labor cost savings.
Vieira earned a BA with honors from Wesleyan University and an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University Teacher’s College. He is an ICF-certified executive coach (PCC) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). He is also certified in several best-in-class leadership assessments, including the Hogan Assessment suite (HPI, HDS, and MVPI) and the Leadership Versatility Index (360° feedback tool).
Vieira grew up speaking Portuguese and has a deep passion for Brazilian music and culture. He also loves streaming Nordic thrillers, practicing Tai Chi, and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains with his family.
