Bill Pacheco is a seasoned educator and innovation leader with extensive experience at the intersection of design thinking, product management, and engineering. He has served as a facilitator, coach, and instructor for organizations and institutions worldwide, including Stanford University, Boston University, and Trinity College. His teaching emphasizes practical application, equipping professionals and students with the tools to navigate complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
Bill’s professional career spans over 30 years, with leadership roles in product design, engineering, and innovation. He has built and led teams in diverse sectors, from fitness equipment at Cybex International to consumer design at Keurig Dr. Pepper. In these roles, he has pioneered design thinking methodologies and operationalized strategies that enable companies to thrive in competitive markets. As Founder and CEO of Open Until 8, LLC, Bill partners with organizations to accelerate innovation, engage customers deeply, and build adaptable solutions.
Bill’s teaching philosophy centers on fostering creativity and collaboration, drawing from his experience as a facilitator for Stanford’s d.school workshops and his leadership in executive education programs. He is passionate about guiding professionals through the product development lifecycle, from ideation to execution, and preparing them to excel in today’s dynamic business environment.
Outside of work, Bill is an avid traveler who has explored destinations such as Korea, Taiwan, China, New Zealand, Italy, Switzerland, Latvia, and Sweden, immersing himself in diverse cultures and cuisines. He has a deep appreciation for great food, red wine, and the joy of a good musical. At home, Bill enjoys life with his wife of 33 years, their four children, and two energetic Labrador retrievers.
